From our local Councilman Offir Lang:

1) Mapping residents parking   Further meetings of the committees

A) We, the Community Administration of the city center are mapping the areas neighborhoods of the city center, where you can find parking potential benefit of the residents (eg, places of loading and unloading can turn in favor of parking after noon, stations that are not in use etc). We appreciate very much if you help us in promoting mapping and fill out the questionnaire attached important link:

If you are interested to take part in physical activity and environmental in your location, you are welcome to contact us:

B)ExpansionPatrol Parents – We are currently setting up parent patrols in the Nahlaot neighborhood and the city center as well as major entertainment places.   Patrol will primarily be at night on weekends in reducing violence, hazards and other risk behaviors. We see this important community project and are looking for volunteers. For details and to join, please contact the Youth Unit of Administration

C)  Cleaning  – This week, the committee met and physical environment of downtown is discussing state of cleanliness in neighborhoods. Thanks to all residents and representatives of the Jerusalem municipality sanitation department and supervision all participated in the meeting. Physical committees of the city center and Nahlaot will continue to engage on this issue until a suitable solution which will give heart of the city neighborhoods.

D)Project Fliismiiking ( “Create Place”) in the city center  I am pleased to inform you that in the near City Center Community Administration will conduct in cooperation with ‘Eden’ workshop of residents and professionals to locate different places in the city center which can develop, design and upgrade. This workshop can bring insights, needs and proposals for the development of the space where the residents live in the city center.Proposals received will be funded by the municipal system and will be carried out by professionals and it has been during the next six months.Come and take part in promoting your neighborhood. The first meeting will be held on 10/07/2016 after noon. Exact details will be delivered later.

E) Submission of objections to the construction area Laboratory School. Jerusalem Municipality recently announced the construction program of a Laboratory School in the area, which means the evacuation of a local school and the expropriation in favor of private and commercial building. After a comprehensive review of the program, Community Administration Lev finds that this will cause injury to the unique character of downtown, residents, merchants, youth and families of the school children. Resistance detailed plan will be submitted next week to the Jerusalem municipality.

F) green projects – Lev Ha’ir Community Administration continues to lead a number of green projects in neighborhoods in the city center, including cultivating community gardens, planters distribution and promotion operations which contribute to the community public space and Environment neighborhoods of the city center. In the near future we will also be installing signs in maintaining peace and cleanlinessaround the neighborhood to develop good neighborly relations. If you also have community initiatives will be happy to put them in our programs.

I wish on behalf of management and staff much success in the new community administration manager, Eyal mine, and thank the outgoing Director Mr. Vicky HARLAP all dedicated work over the years.
